A Snapshot of My Background
My story begins in the Canary Islands. I was born on the tiny island of Lanzarote—the island of 100 volcanoes. I was raised in the states of California and Washington. I was a bookworm and writer at an early age. My mom is Peruvian and hated writing in English, her second language. So I wrote for her notes excusing my absences from school and greeting card messages for friends and family.

Since 2007, after a career in marketing for small businesses, I’ve been freelancing as a copywriter in Medford, Oregon. My home office is actually the nicest office I’ve ever had with a beautiful view of the Rogue Valley out my window. Working as a freelancer is a great fit for my life. I don’t like being behind a desk all day so being self-employed gives me the freedom to travel, run my two kids around, do volunteer work or curl up with a good book – I’m still a bookworm.
I think what I enjoy most about my job is I’m always learning something new from my clients. I feel so privileged to work with smart, insightful, compassionate, motivated people while I help them achieve their marketing goals. (You can find out what my clients have to say about working with me on my testimonial page.)
